Let’s face it, the Snuggie Blanket has become an icon, a world-wide epidemic and has erupted into one of the most noticeable and easily identifiable fashion pieces despite its original purpose as a simple sleeve blanket intended for people to wear while relaxing. The snuggies blanket robe started out gaining its popularity in the Fall of 2008 by offering one of the most simple solutions to a problem everybody was having: providing warmth and mobility to people without restricting their movements or motions, allowing them to do things such as wearing a comfortable blanket while reading a book. The fleece material is highly durable, machine washable and will literally last forever. I own about 6 of these blankets in all different colors and I’ve yet to see one rip or tear. Over the last few years, one of the most popular fashion trends has been for people to wear their pajamas outside in public intentionally and there has been a large market for this. I can only imagine in the next few months when this trend catches on for Snuggies, but I’m ready for it as I am already one of those people you will find in your local supermarket with their snuggie blanket on, complete with the slippers I bought from the Snuggie for Kids for myself!
